News 11/18/2003

Hi there,
Thanks a lot for all your mails and messages. It´s really fun to get all these nice mails and I appriciate every single one of them.
I will try hard to keep you guys updated with the latest news, but right now I´m quite busy playing handball. We´ve got a tight schedule this saison and I really see some of the results.
While my injured knee is getting better, there are a lot of players suffering from injuries this year.
For example some of my swedish buddies:

Stefan Löfgren – still issues with his foot
Martin Boqvist – problems with his knee
Ljubomir Vranjes – a hurt shoulder
Peter Gentzel – many small injureis adding up
Umberto Brajkovich – just getting out of surgery

I think the reason i,s that most of the players have a hard time this saison, playing in 2 or 3 different cups. The regular league, european championships, and of course the national team.
This adds up, and it means less time to recover.
But you know what? I love this game and I don´t want to complain all the time. (hey I don´t play soccer, huh? ;)

As you might know, Ive got negotiations right now regarding my contract with the THW. It takes it´s time now, but I´m very positive that it all will work out well. I´m sure my family will help me finding the right decision, and sorry folks I gotta run now.
We´re playing Flensburg tonight and thats the biggest game for Kiel every year.
All the best

Johan

20.10.2003 The situation today

One more season has started in the Bundesliga, my
eightth actually .We, in Kiel, had a pretty good start this time,
compared to last year. I think it will be an interesting year with, hopefully, success and less injuries.

In the national team we have an importing task.
We have to qualify for the Olympics. It will be difficult but also motivating to show everyone that the last World Championship was a onetime situation and that Sweden will soon be back in business.
I do know that all the guys in the team have a lot of motivation and are eager to win.

My Situation

My contract with Kiel expires after this season and that is also a
important and difficult decision for me and my family. We hope to know a little bit more about the future in few months from now and hopefully we will make the right decision.

That was a little bit about everything.
Until next time

JOHAN
